Welcome to the Lawson Spot!

As the city goes, so goes the culture. According to the United Nations, in 2007 the world’s urban population exceeded the rural population for the first time in history, and the trend toward urbanization is expected to continue. The influence of the urban city centers is growing. Yet while the Gospel is advancing to un-reached people groups around the globe, the influence of the Church and the reach of the Gospel are declining in the major city centers of the world. Moscow in particular is in great need of the truth of Jesus Christ.

The college campus is the gateway to the city.

Moscow is a city of over 12 million people, the capital of a world power with a bright economic future, the center of a prominent church whose history spans two centuries marked by persecution and compromise, and home to 1.1 million college students; the future of an entire nation apathetic to and uninformed about the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

These students are brimming with potential to change the landscape of Russia. Far from being constrained by the college campus, they fuse with society. They want their life to count for something. They want a cause to fight for. Students are more than the leaders of tomorrow; they are the influencers of today. And with them lies the hope of a nation in desperate need of the changing power of Jesus Christ.

We dream of a day when movements of students on each of Moscow’s 250 college campuses are reaching out to their classmates with the truth of the Gospel. We are trusting God to raise up the next generation of spiritual leaders to reach Moscow, Russia and the world for Christ.

This is why we are in Moscow, but we can’t do this alone. We need your help. The students of Moscow need your help.

But I do not consider my life of any account as dear to myself, so that I may finish my course and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify solemnly of the gospel of the grace of God.
